Task 1: Before we learn about collaborating with others in Google Docs and Google Slides, let's review (or learn) some of the basics.  Please watch the following playlists below.

Task 2: Be sure that you are logged in to your Gmail account.  Click the link below and choose to Make a Copy.  A copy of the scavenger hunt should now be located within your Google Drive.  Head over there and follow the instructions for completing this scavenger hunt.

  1. The most challenging part of the scavenger hunt was using the scribble tool. It wasn't that it was very challenging it was just annoying that it only drew one line at a time so I had to keep clicking it every time. I liked that you can draw in the slides though.

    2. I agree that scribble wasn't the easiest tool. It would be easier if you didn't have to keep selecting it after every line you make. I also agree that there's many uses and functions in google slides that can be used in the classroom by students.

    3. I also felt like this tool was a little more difficult since you had to keep selecting the scribble icon. It may be easier to use if someone has a touch screen.

  2. One thing that the scribble tool is great for is math. If you are trying to illustrate how to work through a problem or something, the scribble tool and the whiteboard are great for that.

  3. The most challenging thing I did was the drawing segment. You had to re-select the tool each time you drew a line and each line you had to customize. It would be easier if the tool could have been used continuously without having to re-select it each time.

    1. I did not think about getting to use it on the whiteboard and for math problems. Both of us found it challenging which I think is interesting. I think that I always think of PowerPoint or google slides as something for presentations only when it can be used for so much more.

    2. I agree that the scribble tool wasn't the easiest to use. I could see this being easier on a smart board in a classroom or on a touch screen like an Ipad. Using a mouse with it makes it much harder to control and use properly.

  4. The most challenging part for me was the last task. For the last task, we were required to list our five most favorite movies. I had trouble getting each bulletin to move separately.

    1. I noticed that. Otherwise you did a great job. So from this I see that the scribble tool and the animations are a bit tricky.

    2. Hey LaToya, I had the same problem as you did. I went back to the videos and rewatched them.

    3. Hey LaToya, I also had issues with getting the bulletin to move one at a time. I also had trouble with the scribble part. Did you have any trouble with that? CN

  5. The most challenging part of this task was getting the formatting for the last slide done correctly. I had a little trouble getting each of the movie titles to animate separately. The scribble tool wasn't challenging to use, just a bit tedious and frustrating.

    1. I noticed that seemed to be a bit difficult. You're not the only one who had an issue with that.

  6. The task that was the most challenging for me was putting the animations on each slide. The slide that challenged me was the one were we listed our top 5 movies and added an animation. After watching the videos, and with practice I finally found how to do it. SW

  7. This task as fun for me. It helped me learn more about google slides and how to add new things. I had a hard time finding the scribble so I had to search for it in the help bar.

    1. I agree, this task was very fun and informative. It definitely switched me over to a google slides girl instead of a powerpoint user.

  8. The hardest part for me was the movie slide where we had to put an animation on every title. It was not hard per say but more time consuming than the others because you had to line them up and start over every time you needed a new transition.
